As we already informed, on January 19, at around 01:30, a fire broke out in the accommodation of the engineer-sapper troop of N military unit of the RA Defense Ministry located in Azat village of Armenia’s Gegharkunik Province under still unknown circumstances.
Fifteen servicemen were killed. One of the fallen soldiers, Aram Manukyan, was from Vanadzor. Friends and acquaintances write notes about Aram on their pages with pain. Aram was drafted into the army in 2021. He was due to finish his service in about a month. Aram had only one sister; he was the only boy in this family.
Here is Aram Manukyan’s post on September 22:
“Well, do you understand now that “tomorrow” may not happen at all, or it may come in the middle of the night and stand in your throat under alarming voices?”

Do you understand now that you may not be able to do it? You may not be able to sing like a madman so loudly.
You have to live every day to the fullest: visit and see those you decided long ago, but you always wait for tomorrow.
Write and hug the person you hope to meet by chance on the street tomorrow. Without fear, look into the eyes and catch the sweetness, do live, okay?
Have we to be afraid, and only then do we love each other, right?
Well, we will smile again, we will forget about the important things again, we will live again as if tomorrow is always in our pocket, and when we want, we will bring the light out of the folded parts, and we will live again, maybe…
We will love each other very much. Let’s love, let’s love instead of today and tomorrow.
Let’s help each other overcome soul-destroying nights, be together, live together…”
