“I am acting in this Court, considering it as a last hope. Suppose the Court does not take immediate measures. In that case, the Nagorno-Karabakh Armenians will face an impossible choice: to leave their ancestral homes or to stay there and starve to death,” RA Representative Yeghishe Kirakosyan alerted at the UN International Court of Justice (ICJ) during oral hearings in Armenia vs. Azerbaijan case. Addressing the Court, he said: “We do not come to you lightly.
The issues raised in our request should have been resolved long ago through the intervention of the UN Security Council on December 20, 2022, as well as through bilateral exchanges and letters.” According to Yeghishe Kirakosyan, the Azerbaijani actions show that it intends to destroy the Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh.
He announced that one person had already died due to lack of medical care, many more people are at risk of suffering the same fate, store shelves are empty, cards distributed food, there is a shortage of medicine and medical supplies, and gas supply is completely cut off, internet congestion leads to repeated.
