Aravot.am inquired from Bagrat Estukian – editor of the Armenian section of Istanbul-based Agos daily, about the damages suffered by ethnic Armenians and Armenian institutions due to the earthquake in Turkey.
“Armenian institutions have not suffered any damage. Only the Saint Karasun Manuk Church of Iskenderu, the former town of Alexandret, has some damages. Armenians are left under that city’s ruins and the ruins of Antioch, Adiyaman, Diyarbakir, and Malatia. As of now, we have six victims,” Mr. Estukian said on February 7.
