According to Political Strategist Vigen Hakobyan, assisting Turkey was not so much a humanitarian as a political gesture by the Armenian government. He said in the “Hayeli” (“Mirror”) club. “That was not just a humanitarian gesture, which the Armenian authorities carried out, but it was also a political step that completely fits into the current policy of the Armenian authorities. That is, to change the security architecture and bring other players into the region. They talked about the West, but we all understand it is primarily about Turkey. From this point of view, I think the main parts of Nikol Pashinyan’s ideas are primitive.
He is trying to make a political gesture under the name of humanitarian and try to have an opportunity to establish a separate contract with the same Erdogan outside of Azerbaijan and try to directly stabilize the situation in the developments around the Republic of Armenia through him. In other words, in this case, he reaches out and flatters to be saved. And the savior, in his opinion, should be Erdogan. But the statement that Turkey made in connection with the humanitarian aid provided by Azerbaijan was explicitly created to reassure the doubters, to eliminate the unnecessary illusions that may exist in Armenia, that nothing will change with this gesture, at least strategically, that it will not affect on Turkey in any way on regional politics related to Artsakh and Armenia in general”.
