“We have been in the struggle for 35 years, and we must be ready to be in the struggle for another 35 years because we have chosen the path of a dignified, independent, Armenian and free Artsakh.” Ruben Vardanyan

Ruben Vardanyan, the Co-Founder of the “Future Armenian” and “Aurora” initiatives, greeted the first forum of the “Future Armenian” initiative from Stepanakert and said: “I want to welcome all of you from Stepanakert and say that despite all the difficulties, life continues, people live life, preserve the spirit and dignity, the feeling that we have not given up and will not give up. Children’s voices can be heard from the school next door.

Artsakh people are very resilient. In the 90s, when the first Artsakh war and the people of Artsakh again had neither electricity nor gas and were in a worse condition, children still came to school, sat in coats, and studied in that cold. Their demand that schools should not be closed and classes should continue despite the difficult conditions is significant for all of us.

Although there have been problems with the gas supply since yesterday, classes continue. It’s a little easier now because the weather is excellent, and the classrooms are not so cold.” Answering the journalist’s question, after leaving the State Minister post, he announced that he would stay in Artsakh and fulfills his promise. If he could do many things in the management system, how he will be able to take practical steps for Artsakh now, the former Artsakh State Minister said.

“First, I want to inform everyone that we started our plans earlier than my move to Artsakh. The regional development agency “We are our mountains” developed plans for development and security. In that sense, my goal in coming to Artsakh in September was to implement the model of public-private cooperation because the number of problems facing us in various fields cannot be solved by the state alone. “We are our mountains” was to play a significant role.

And in the last six months, we implemented many projects. When discussing the national war, the whole society should participate in the struggle, and everyone should put their money into that cause. We are always ready, have always done and are doing and work with the Government, the National Assembly, and other institutions. We see no other way. The entire nation must unite and understand that the only way to overcome these difficulties is to become one strong fist.”

Ruben Vardanyan said about the results of the voting on the topic “Historical responsibility” of the forum of the “Future Armenian” initiative, by which the experts confirmed that Artsakh is not only the problem of the people of Artsakh, the people living in Armenia, but also the problem of all 10 million Armenians.

“It is essential that normal people worldwide want to support Artsakh despite not being Armenians. But it is also essential to do this with concrete steps, not just words. I was confident and said from the first day that the problem of Artsakh and the challenges facing Artsakh are common. We are all from Artsakh. Before us is the question of preserving the Armenian spirit, the Armenian nation. Happily, that mindset was dominant in the discussion. Concrete steps should be taken both in the Diaspora and in Armenia. And Artsakh should do everything to make this cooperation a reality.”

Ruben Vardanyan once again confirmed that Artsakh would never be integrated into Azerbaijan and would not be part of it. “We live by our laws, and the only way is to fight, be united, unite resources and not give up. Cuba also fought against America and did not surrender. We have been fighting for 35 years. We must be ready to be in struggle for another 35 years. There is no other option. It happened in different countries of the world. We have chosen this path for a dignified, independent, Armenian, and free Artsakh.”
