“I did not mention that this issue is on the agenda. I expressed an opinion that it is possible to discuss it in Moscow, where the widest range of issues will be discussed. Every question must be presented in detail, for which we are always ready. I do not rule out that this issue will be discussed,” RA Deputy Foreign Minister Paruyr Hovhannisyan said during a briefing with journalists at the Parliament, addressing the question of whether the issue of Russia’s dissatisfaction with the EU observation mission will be discussed during the upcoming visit of Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan to Moscow.
In response to the remark that Ararat Mirzoyan did not participate in the planned tripartite meeting in Moscow due to the closure of the Lachin Corridor in December, the deputy minister noted that the meeting expected on the 20th of the month is bilateral, not tripartite. Regarding the statements of the Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova about Pashinyan’s comments concerning the Russian peacekeeping mission, Paruyr Hovhanisyan said: “The minister’s visit to Moscow proves that we are ready to discuss the issues of concern to the parties in a working atmosphere.”
