We have said many times that if Artsakh does not have Armenian status, no Armenians will be left there. Displaced from Hadrut

We have often said that if Artsakh does not have Armenian status, there will be no Armenians there; by chain reaction, if there are no Armenians in Artsakh, there will be no Armenians here in Armenia, either. In other words, those forces, which, unfortunately, are the ruling forces today, want to erase the Armenian status of Artsakh; they also want to erase the future of the Armenian State and the future of the Armenian nation in general. Levon Hayryan, head of the “For Hadrut” NGO, told reporters about displaced Hadrut citizens who organized a protest in front of the RA government today. According to him, they classified their demands into four groups, and today once again came to the government to complain about the indifference of the RA government towards them, as well as the statements of today’s political government about the status of Artsakh.

“Our first demand is political; we want them to return us to Hadrut, but not in the way that our leadership decided to move us to Hadrut, Shushi, and other places under the jurisdiction of Azerbaijan without recognizing the independence of Artsakh in concert with the Russians and Turks. Otherwise, we demand to recognize Artsakh as Armenian or part of Armenia, our dream since 1988. If it causes any complications, then Artsakh should have an independent status.

We have said many times that if Artsakh does not have an Armenian status, no Armenians will remain there; by chain reaction, if no Armenians remain in Artsakh, then there will be no Armenians here in Armenia either. In other words, the forces that, unfortunately, are the ruling forces today want to erase the Armenian status of Artsakh and the future of the Armenian State and the future of the Armenian nation in general. We should all say no to that policy together,” said Levon Hayryan.

The 2nd demand of the displaced Hadrut people refers to living and housing conditions, and the 3rd refers to granting them refugee status. “For two and a half years, we have been demanding that they give us the status of refugees, and they paid zero attention,” said Hayryan.
