Civil Contract Deputy Davit Danielyan denies the declaration he submitted and tells how he became the owner of six real estates

March 25,2023 16:30

CC MP Davit Danielyan posted on his Facebook page with the caption “Official denial” that “Aravot” news agency published an article, according to which I own six real estates. At first, I did not treat this material seriously, but I received questions from many journalists and individuals. I’m sorry that a long-standing news outlet doesn’t know how to fact-check or is trying to discredit me. In 2015, before taking office, I bought one piece of land with a half-demolished building in the village of Nurnus, on which I built a summer house over five years. I finished the construction work in 2021 and registered it in the state register in the same year. In other words, Aravot presented this house as a new purchase, which is FAKE.

In 2021, I bought 500 square meters of land next to the same ground for $1700 (because Nurnus does NOT have good roads, and until recently, it was deprived of water supply, and land prices were low). I got married in 2020, and my wife and I bought an apartment (63 square meters) with a mortgage loan, NOT in a newly built building, from the secondary market, Unrenovated (at Kanakertsu 131/2 building, apartment 2). “Aravot” presented this as a double purchase – FAKE.

In 2021, I bought a two-room apartment (56 square meters) with a mortgage loan (according to the income tax refund law) in a newly constructed building that is not ready yet (51/11 Kanaker-Zeytun P.Sevak Street). I emphasize that with similar steps, an attempt is being made to overshadow my activities and discredit me. I will continue to work with the same activity for the sake of Syunik and our Motherland.” The CP MP mentions Aravot.am’s “Rich Revolutionaries” video, where, showing his declaration, we present that he owns six real estates and in which year he acquired them. Below we offer the latest declaration submitted by Davit Danielyan, which clearly shows the amount of real estate, the year of acquisition, and the method of acquisition: PURCHASE.

The deputy writes that in 2021 I bought a 500 square meter plot of land for $1700; Nurnus does not have good roads, and the price was low; in 2020, my wife and I bought an apartment (63 square meters) from the secondary market, not repaired, in 2021 I bought it with a mortgage loan—two-room apartment (56 square meters) in a newly built building, which is not ready yet. We have not published about the Eurorenovation of Danielyan’s apartments, the cost, and the fact that they were purchased from the primary or secondary market, which is a denial. He says that he and his wife bought the apartment with a mortgage loan, but neither he nor his wife Ani Antonyan’s declaration contains any information about having a loan.

Moreover, without overshadowing the MP’s activities, Aravot.am sent a request for information to his official address on 06.03.2023 via the e-mail of the National Assembly to get clarifications. The term defined by the law has expired, and the deputy did not provide any clarification. And we were interested in the information request. “After the revolution, when you assumed the position of the assistant minister of KGSMS, you had a 2008 Suzuki car and a plot of land in Byureghavan.

According to the latest declaration, in 2020, you bought two flats in the Kanaker-Zeytun community of Yerevan; in 2021, you purchased a plot of land in the Nurnus community of Kotayk region and a KIA car in 2012—production machine. In 2022, you bought another apartment in Kanaker Zeytun and now have six properties in total. The 1 million drams you had at the beginning of the year became 4 million, and you received 2.8 million drams as income from the National Assembly. You have no other income, which is not mentioned in the declaration, and you have not attracted credit funds.

Please clarify:

  1. How and by what means did you acquire so much property, and at what cost?
  2. How did it happen that your funds exceeded your salary?

“Aravot” is waiting for the MP’s clarification. By the way, these days, we also received the answers of other officials to our request for information, which we will address shortly.
