Chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan, the regular session of the the Managing Board of the North-South Road Corridor, restoration and improvement of the Vanadzor-Alaverdi-Georgia border interstate road, Sustainable Urban Development Investment and Northern Corridor Modernization programs held a meeting.
During the session, issues related to the implementation of the investment project for the construction of the 7 km long tunnel around Kajaran and the reconstruction of the approaching roads were discussed. The progress of the implementation of Tranche 3, Lanjik-Gyumri section of the North-South road corridor investment project and the existing problems were also referred to. The proposal to build additional entrances to Akunk, Mastara and Lanjik settlements was approved.
The importance of carrying out the expropriation and resettlement process for the construction of Tranche 4, Sisian-Kajaran section, and the need to involve a professional group for that purpose, was emphasized. A procurement process for relevant services has been commissioned.
Issues regarding the completion stage of the M-6, Vanadzor-Alaverdi-Georgia border interstate highway restoration and improvement project were also touched upon. In order to ensure proper supervision during the quality guarantee period of the works, the need to extend the service period of the technical supervisor was discussed.
