Touching upon the genocide committed against the Yazidis of Sinjar in 2014, the deputy noted that it had a weighty impact and still has today on the Yazidi people’s not only physical, but also psychological, educational and cultural life. “Even today, extreme international crimes are being committed against the Yazidi people, preventing them from realizing their natural and inalienable rights, from the natural right to life to the inalienable right to education. Even these days, many Yazidis survive in camps, in inhumane conditions, struggling for their physical existence and future,” Rustam Bakoyan said, underscoring the role of science and education as national guards.
