The Armenian National Platform of the EU Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum,
– Attaching paramount importance to the protection of international law in Armenia and the region;
– Considering as a priority the proper investigation of genocides and crimes against humanity, war and aggression crimes committed during wars in the region or in peacetime, the international criminal prosecution of the persons responsible for them and further prevention of such crimes, and emphasizing the importance of implementation of international legal mechanisms for all of this, as a priority;
– Based on its previous statements, in which the Platform called on the RA authorities to apply to the European Union for the signature of the Association Agreement with the EU and a Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area Agreement, and at the same time to request the status of a candidate for full EU membership, as well as to apply to NATO for Armenia’s membership in that structure;

Welcomes the March 24, 2023 decision of the RA Constitutional Court, which recognized the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court in compliance with the Armenian Constitution and calls on the authorities of the Republic of Armenia to ratify the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court signed by Armenia in 1998 within a reasonable period of time.
