The executive body proposes addenda and amendments to the law on Accreditation and to the Code on Administrative Offenses. The RA Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan noted that the package was developed within the framework of the EU Twinning programme: the objective is to reform the RA accreditation and quality infrastructure system. The legislative framework is aligned with the EU and EAEU legislative regulations.
The RA National Accreditation Body will become a member of the Association of European Accreditation Bodies. With this, the compliance documents issued by the accredited bodies in the Republic of Armenia, that is, laboratories and other similar organizations, will be adopted by the EU and the EAEU organizations. It is planned to regulate the basic notions defined in the field of accreditation.
The Advisory Technical Committees created by the RA National Accreditation Body will operate on a public basis.
The Commissions created by the RA National Accreditation Body will ensure the organization of conferences, training and qualification courses for specialists in the field of conformity assessment, the activity of qualification of accreditation experts and assessors and awarding of relevant certificates. The composition and the activity order of the Committees and Commissions will be approved by the order of the Head of the National Accreditation Body.

The term of accreditation and re-accreditation of conformity assessment bodies is set for four years. The grounds for suspension and termination of accreditation were also defined.
Vahan Kerobyan informed that now there are around 70 conformity assessment bodies operating in Armenia.
In the related report, the member of the NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs David Arushanyan presented the endorsement of the Committee.
In their speeches, the MPs Sergey Bagratyan, Artur Khachatryan, Gegham Nazaryan, Artsvik Minasyan, Rustam Bakoyan and Garnik Danielyan talked about the price increase in the food market, the taxation system in the sphere of social media, the dairy industry, and the problems of fertilizer importers. There was also reference to the cases of decrease of cattle and the study of their causes.
An opinion was sounded that in case of adoption of the legislative proposal, unequal conditions will be created between large producers and start-up organizations. Laboratories should be formed with the funds of entrepreneurs, while beginner entrepreneurs do not have the opportunity to purchase expensive equipment. The introduction of developments in the field of quality infrastructures by the officials was emphasized.
In his final speech, the Minister Vahan Kerobyan addressed the issues of interest to the deputies.
