According to Aravot. am, the second Azerbaijani who crossed the border of Armenia, was found in the Syunik region. On April 13, he was taken to the Kapan police station. It should be noted that the previous night they started the search operations; they even checked the forest footpaths. According to our information, he was recognized and caught by one of Kapan’s foresters. A screwdriver, notebook, and bullets were found with the Azerbaijani.

According to the same sources, the Governor of Syunik, Robert Ghukasyan, also participated in the search; according to witnesses, he was in the forests of the Kapan region all night, together with the Kapan forestry employees. To remind, during the question-and-answer session of the government in the parliament, the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan announced: “Azerbaijani army soldier simply ran away from their position with his fellow soldier due to pressure and humiliation from other fellow soldiers.”

About the second Azerbaijani, Pashinyan said that he decided to go back to his homeland. “According to our information, the second soldier, who is still being sought, said shortly after crossing the border in the village that he regretted it and wanted to return.” On April 13, it also became known that Baku appealed to international organizations regarding the missing Azerbaijani servicemen on the border with Armenia. According to the “Azatutyun-Liberty” radio station, this was announced by the State Commission on Prisoners of War, Hostages, and Missing Persons of Azerbaijan.

“Due to limited visibility in adverse weather conditions on the border with Armenia, the servicemen of the Ministry of Defense Agshin Babirov (born in 2004) and Husein Akhundov (born in 2003) disappeared from the Shahbuz region of the Autonomous Republic of Nakhichevan. Taking into account the possibility of keeping the servicemen in the territory of Armenia, an official request for their release has been submitted to the relevant international organizations,” the commission’s message said.
