After another provocation by Azerbaijan on April 11, the Tegh community of Syunik Marz is tense, but there is no panic. “There is no shooting; it is calm; I must say that none of the villagers have left,” said Argam Hovsepyan, a member of the “Aprelu Erkir” faction of the Tegh Community Council of Elders, in a conversation with Aravot.am.
That day, he was at the center of events all day. He says that, at first, there were occasional shots. Argam Hovsepyan goes down to the place of the Tegh community, where the Armenian side was carrying out engineering works.
“Sitting on our land, they drove at our soldiers carrying out engineering works on our land to stop them. Gradually, their number increased, and they came to their aid and started fighting; they got into a hand-to-hand fight with the Armenian soldiers. And they suddenly started to open fire in our direction,” says Argam Hovsepyan.
