“If some document is signed, it means that the Armenian interests will be ignored in that document as well,” Serzh Sargsyan, the third president of RA, said in a conversation with journalists near the court on April 13, answering the question about the peace agreement. According to the out-office(former) president’s assessment, RA’s current government does not strive for peace.
“But who said they are going for peace? It’s your opinion; it’s their opinion, not mine. That’s not the way to peace. They go for peace by protecting the country, showing that they are capable of protecting the safety of their citizens, showing that at least after so many failures, an Azerbaijani soldier cannot enter RA and roam around RA for a few days. Who will go to peace with such a country? Responding to another statement made by Nikol Pashinyan yesterday that Artsakh was recognized as a part of Azerbaijan according to the Madrid principles, Serzh Sargsyan said.
“You know, every time I think about the falsehoods voiced by the ruler of Armenia, I want to understand for myself what exactly that person has a problem with, with morality, with reading and understanding a document, or with memory?

Responding to Nikol Pashinyan’s statement that during the 44-day war, we did not have a problem with weapons, moreover, some soldiers left their weapon stores and ran away, Serzh Sargsyan said that Nikol Pashinyan never denied his accusations that during the 44-day war, our 50 percent of the arsenal was used. As for the rest, he noticed that everyone – the military, the men of Armenia, the commanders – was guilty, but what was he doing? Do you remember that there was an incident in Tavush, and he considered it a victorious battle and beat his chest that he was the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, and then he repeated once more that you should not be confused suddenly? We are not confused. Is the Commander-in-Chief only to give interviews? But he also said something very important there.
He said that arms and ammunition worth billions were handed over to Azerbaijan. Who brought it? Did they bring billion worth of weapons and ammunition in those two years? He said and with that he confirmed that until 2018, the Armenian army showed a significant part of its weapons to its citizens and showed what kind of army we have. He handed all of that to Azerbaijan, and the leader of Azerbaijan showed what he took from him, not from a soldier. Woe-commanders, so where were you looking? Change those commanders, have you changed them? On the contrary, you are the one who ruined the army.”
