President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev stated that if Armenia used to say: “Karabakh is Armenia and that’s it,” today it should repeat their words: “Karabakh is Azerbaijan.” “By saying ‘A,’ one must also say ‘B.’ Armenia, which announced its readiness for a peace treaty based on the Alma-Ata Declaration, must officially announce that Karabakh is Azerbaijan.”
In this regard, in a conversation with journalists, the deputy of the ruling Civil Contract faction, Armen Khachatryan, said: “Aliyev’s reckless behavior is understandable because they are in the euphoria of victory. Aliyev allows himself such behavior for some time. I don’t want to comment on his statements. Aliyev should not dictate what to do and how to do it.
The whole problem is that Aliyev must understand that he and the people cannot solve any issue with his violence. Although today’s geopolitical situation is such that we cannot rule anything out and must be ready for anything, Aliyev must understand that under his dictatorial regime, such statements will definitely harm him.

Moreover, when he aggressively engages his entire people towards the Armenian people, one day that hatred will be against his government; that is the end of all dictators.”
Armen Khachatryan explained why the section on Karabakh, which was in the previously approved plan, is missing from the report on the implementation of the government’s program. Doesn’t this mean that they failed the program, and now they are not addressing the Karabakh problem?
“The inclusion or not of something in the document, especially with regard to Karabakh, does not mean that there was a lack of some actions. Every year, great measures have been taken to solve the economic and social problems of Karabakh. If the government found that at this point it is not necessary to include in the document all the actions that have been carried out, unfortunately, security positions and public issues conflict with each other, the government has found it appropriate to do so.”
