RA Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Kingdom of Belgium and Head of the Representation of the Republic of Armenia in the European Union (2009-2014), RA Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Spain (2014-2019). Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia (2019-2021) Avet Adonts has been the Vice-President of the Union of Armenians of Russia for issues of Armenia for about a month.
“The Union has an Armenian format, it is a part of Armenian’s, and the agenda is related only and only to the Armenian,” said Avet Adonts, a guest on Aravot’s “Areresum” (“Confrontation”) program.
Briefly presenting his action plans in this new capacity, Avet Adonts said; “I deal with the programs implemented by the Union of Armenians of Russia; they are either of a humanitarian nature, with creative unions, or of an economic nature, which we will try to expand in the regions of Armenia; it concerns agriculture. Also, the agenda related to humanism is quite emphasized. In particular, after the recent tragedy in Vardenis, when 15 of our young people were killed, the union was perhaps the only structure that supported the victims’ families.”
