“What, do you want a war?” – this is the question asked by the representatives and supporters of the authorities when someone says that our 120 thousand compatriots of Artsakh cannot be left alone and helpless or that they cannot be allowed to for Azerbaijan to remain in the sovereign territory of our country. That question can be answered with the question: isn’t Azerbaijan waging a war against our people now? Any false statement made by the enemy is a “justification” to continue the war. The last example: Armenia allegedly transfers weapons to Artsakh. Therefore, according to the Azerbaijani side, it is ultimately “justified” to block the road.
The government believes that by swallowing every new aggressive step “to prevent escalation,” it is possible to pacify the enemy. But the enemy not only does not calm down but also becomes more insolent. Here is a part of the speech delivered by Yashar Aliyev, Permanent Representative of Azerbaijan to the United Nations, on Monday, April 24. “Armenia must fulfill its international obligations, completely withdraw its armed forces from the territory of Azerbaijan, return the eight villages still occupied by the border of Azerbaijan, stop and refrain from territorial claims, illegal activities, and misinformation, stop the mine terrorism, shed light on the fate of several thousand Azerbaijanis. , which disappeared during the conflict, to compensate for the damages caused to Azerbaijan,” Yashar Aliyev said in particular.
As you can see, all the claims made by the diplomat are false, but each one can justify the continuation of the war. To satisfy these “demands” is to whet the enemy’s appetite. Losing at some point once again will mean an increase of 10 more points.
Azerbaijan is waging a war against the territory of 29.8 thousand kilometers of Armenia, which our government calls “adjustment of borders”. But the enemy country is also waging war against the people of Artsakh, which the leadership of the Armenian state does not consider “it’s own” and believes that it bears no responsibility for that people. It is an extraordinary phenomenon in international practice, when the state advises compatriots on the verge of destruction to “find a language” with the destroyers. By the way, Artsakh residents have RA passports; they are not just compatriots.
