Sargis Khandanyan Meets with Ambassador of Argentina to Armenia
On May 2, the Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Sargis Khandanyan met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Argentina to the Republic of Armenia Mariano Vergara.
Welcoming the guest Sargis Khandanyan highly appreciated the current level of the relationship between Armenia and Argentina since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
“Argentina is a friendly country for us: the role of the great number of the Armenian community living in Argentina is great in the development of bilateral ties,” the Committee Chair underlined.

Speaking about the inter-parliamentary relations, Sargis Khandanyan valued the close work of the Friendship Groups of the Senate, the Chamber of Deputies of Argentina and the National Assembly of Armenia.
The Committee Chair highlighted the cooperation in spheres of trade, tourism, agriculture and in a number of other ones.
Sargis Khandanyan presented to the Ambassador the security situation in the region and touched upon the illegal blocking of the Lachin Corridor by Azerbaijan.
The Ambassador underscored that the ties between the two countries. According to Mariano Vergara, in Argentina the society is concerned about the Lachin Corridor blocking.
It was noted that soon Argentina-Armenia Friendship Group of the Senate will arrive in Armenia.
