The Inspection Body carried out inspection visits and found out that there is medicine with price tag stamps but not registered in the drug market: the Chair of the NA Standing Committee on Health Care Narek Zeynalyan said adding that the problem needs to be solved.
In order to discuss the problems in the drug market in the Republic of Armenia, a working debate was held on May 5 at Narek Zeynalyan’s initiative, which was attended by the Deputy Chair of the Committee Lusine Badalyan, Committee members Hripsime Hunanyan, the deputy Armen Khachatryan, the Secretary General of the RA Ministry of Health Vardanush Grigoryan, the Head of Department of Law Anna Mkrtumyan, the Acting Head of Health and Labor Inspectorate Davit Sayamyan and several entrepreneurs.
According to the entrepreneurs, the settlement of the issue is not in their field, but in the field of the State Revenue Committee and the Ministry of Health. The representatives of pharmacies presented their solution to the issue and asked not to fine them until the regulations are clear.
After long debates, the Committee Chair urged the Ministry of Health and the State Revenue Committee to work together to exclude such problems and to provide a price tag stamp for medicine only if there is a certificate from the Ministry of Health.

The Committee Chair mentioned that although the ban on unregistered drugs has existed for a long time, there were still entrepreneurs who preferred to pay the fine and continue selling them. That is the reason why the legislative body increased the amount of the fine several times.
Summarizing the meeting, Narek Zeynalyan noted that the aim is not to fine entrepreneurs, but to bring them into the legal field.
