ARMENPRESS. Armenia’s Brunette made it to the Eurovision 2023 final with her Future Lover hit after the second semi-finals on May 11 in Liverpool.
The singer surprised the audience and her fans with a staggering dance break, something that wasn’t featured in the original performance.
Brunette spoke about her performance and the meaning of her song at a press conference after the second semi-finals.
“People who know me know that I love dancing, and we’d decided to do a dance break when I was writing the song. So we have two versions, without the dance break and with the dance break. It was so hard to keep it a secret. I was like, I have a surprise, I have a surprise, and yeah, the surprise was the dance break,” Brunette said.

Asked about her song Future Lover, which deals with mental health, Brunette admitted that it’s hard to talk about it. “It is kinda hard for me to talk about it, but, when I [sing] ‘panic attacks’ I mean it. A lot of people deal with mental health, and I’ve dealt with it as well. And I just wanted to tell everybody that it’s okay, it’s okay to have mental health [issues], it’s okay to not feel okay, and the overall thing is that you have to ‘be good, do good, look good’, she said, repeating the chorus of Future Lover.
