At the NA session, the Deputy of the CC faction Sergey Bagratyan touched upon public trust in Nikol Pashinyan. “This nation and we love our freedoms, we love our sovereignty, we love our justice, and we go after it. They give a number and say that 90 percent of our society does not agree with Artsakh being part of Azerbaijan; I would say that 100 percent disagree, but what does disagreeing have to do with reality? A dream is one thing; reality is another. Do our current opportunities allow us to realize those dreams? If they don’t allow us, do we have the right to take a risk where our thoughts may be disrupted, we may no longer have a process,” said Bagratyan.
He says they are trying to conduct a pragmatic policy on the land. “The status quo was maintained due to the joint work of our strategic ally with us. And when the leader of our strategic ally announced that he considers NK a part of Azerbaijan, the imbalance in the region was broken, Turkey announced that it protects Azerbaijan, and we were left alone with our problems. We did not choose that strategic ally, which has existed since 1994. The people will no longer forgive us if we fall into the arms of a dream instead of standing firmly on the real state soil,” he added.
