I hosted H.E. Mr. Yong Fan, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Armenia, In the Parliament.
I touched upon the security problems of Armenia and Artsakh. Through the eyes of the eyewitness, I presented the continuous tension in Sotk, the shootings, as a result of which the Armenian side has casualties, the ambulances were targeted twice, and 800 employees of the Sotk gold mine are still unemployed.
In my conversation with the Ambassador, I mentioned the results of the Michel-Pashinyan-Aliev tripartite meeting in Brussels, noting that Pashinyan (also during the press conference in Yerevan) recognized the territory of Soviet Azerbaijan with Artsakh, although such a state does not exist now because modern Azerbaijan is not the successor of Soviet Azerbaijan.
I emphasized that the Decision of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Armenia on July 8, 1992, reads: ” to consider any international or domestic document in which the Republic of Nagorno-Karabakh will be mentioned as a part of Azerbaijan, unacceptable for the Republic of Armenia”. Therefore, any such document, if signed, would have a serious legitimacy problem.

I mentioned that more than 300,000 signatures have already been collected stating that Nikol Pashinyan’s recognition of Artsakh as a territory of Azerbaijan is unacceptable for the Armenian people.
I presented to Mr. Fan the most serious problems of democracy in Armenia, mentioning the illegal actions applied to me and other deputies by the government representatives.
We both expressed readiness to deepen the scope of cooperation, and in this context I emphasized that it is important for us to learn the experience of China, which has a growing economy.
