The delegation led by the NA President of the Republic of Armenia Alen Simonyan is on a three-day working visit in the United Kingdom. On June 7, within the framework of the visit the Speaker of the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Sir Lindsay Hoyle received the delegation.
The RA NA President thanked the Speaker of the House of Commons for the invitation and warm hospitality, noting that Armenia is concerned laying down the multilateral relations on stable bases and develop them with the United Kingdom and expects the same from the United Kingdom.
At the meeting it was noted that during three decades Armenia and the United Kingdom formed an ambitious agenda of bilateral relations based on common values and principles. The sides discussed issues on strengthening democratic institutes.
The RA NA President expressed conviction that soon there will be finalisation of Armenia-UK Comprehensive and Enhanced Agreement, and it will be signed as soon as possible.

“Armenia as a young parliamentary republic, mostly highlights the effective inter-parliamentary cooperation and interaction between the parliamentarians. I record with satisfaction the mutual and existing active cooperation during the last two years of the functioning friendship groups in our parliaments,” Alen Simonyan noted.
At the end of the meeting the RA NA President invited his British colleague to Armenia.
The RA NA Vice President Ruben Rubinyan, the Head of the NA Civil Contract Faction, the Member of the NA Armenia-Great Britain Friendship Group Hayk Konjoryan, the Member of the Friendship Artur Khachatryan and the deputy Sona Ghazaryan are in the delegation led by the RA NA President Alen Simonyan.
