Recently, the statements about Artsakh becoming a part of Azerbaijan are treason; it cannot be acceptable for a conscious Armenian because, without Artsakh, there would be no Armenia. We do not want Artsakh to become Nakhichevan, the new Mush, new Sasun, Ararat, and a distant ideal; we must make the issues related to our national interests a part of our daily struggle and achieve our national purpose. A few days ago, the participants of the gathering organized by the initiative of the Armenian community of Georgia in support of Artsakh announced during the meeting held near the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Georgia.
Reciting the text of the statement, the representative of the community emphasized. “Until today, our organization supported and would support Artsakh with all its strength, and Shushi is indeed “unhappy and sad” today. Still, we can confidently say that we are sure that it will flourish and return to its rightful and historical owner. Artsakh will remain standing because the spirit of Artsakh is unbreakable, and the mind and faith of the conscious part of Armenians are unshakable.”

The participants of the gathering waved the flags of the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Artsakh; they were carrying, “Anyone who renounces Artsakh is a traitor, and that’s it,” “Artsakh is the heart of Armenians, “Artsakh is us,” “There is no Armenia without Artsakh,” “There is no peace without Artsakh,” banners with the slogans “Artsakh is Armenia, and that’s it.” The representatives of the Armenian community of Georgia stated that our last gathering at the Embassy of Armenia in Georgia took place in 2020. During the 44-day war in Artsakh, hundreds of representatives of Tiflis Armenians were on the side of Artsakh with various supporting events.
“We all believed in victory until the end, but it turned out that they were fooling us, saying that we would win, and on November 9, 2020, behind the backs of Armenians, a shameful capitulation agreement was signed, according to which most of the territory of the Republic of Artsakh was handed over to Azerbaijan. Starting a campaign against national and spiritual institutions, including the Armenian Apostolic Church, the army, and Artsakh and the people of Artsakh, diligent work was carried out to pit Armenians against each other worldwide.
They persuaded the people that Artsakh was a burden and that we would gain peace by getting rid of it. After all that, a series of shameful statements began in the direction of preparing Artsakh for the complete handover. And at the same time, Azerbaijan and Turkey were threatening Armenia and the entire Armenian community, both verbally and factually. But we are all very familiar with the inhumane way they treated captured soldiers and civilians, how they publicly mocked, tortured, and killed them, filming and spreading it among their people and cheering them on.
We also want to mention the attacks on the sovereign territories of Armenia and the fact that the Syunik region is already threatened. Taking advantage of the concessionary position of the RA authorities, the insolent enemy no longer hides his appetite and desire to implement the pan-Turkish idea in this region. Thus, the RA authorities are preparing to hand over 120,000 RA citizens to the enemy.
From December 12, 2022, until today, Azerbaijan blocked the only road connecting the Republic of Artsakh to the world. Despite the various excuses presented by Azerbaijan, the latter’s strategic goal is to force the population of the Republic of Artsakh to leave its historical homeland. In this matter, Azerbaijan is guided by the plan to gradually transform Artsakh into Nakhichevan – no Armenians, no problems.
At the same time, Azerbaijan will not be satisfied with the depopulation of Artsakh,” the statement said.
