As for calling the name, the Prime Minister’s name was called; there is a video of it. In general, I assess the visit as quite positive,” NA Speaker Alen Simonyan said in a conversation with journalists in the National Assembly, referring to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s visit to Turkey and participation in the inauguration of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the rumors surrounding those events.
Alen Simonyan informed that Nikol Pashinyan did not have any official meetings during his visit to Turkey, but, in his estimation, the visit went quite well. A question was also raised about installing the Nemesis statue in Yerevan and the adverse reaction from Turkey on that occasion.

Alen Simonyan said he considers the statue’s installation wrong because it is not a state policy and cannot be. “Don’t say there is a court decision there; it is not our court’s decision, no representative of any state or state can solve the issue extrajudicially, and this should not be encouraged.”
At the same time, in his opinion, the statue’s installation cannot be a reason to abandon the settlement of Armenian-Turkish relations. “As I announced in Turkey, I could find a million reasons not to go to Turkey and not go. If Turkey has the will, and I think there is, then this is a unique historical opportunity to regulate relations. The Armenian side is ready for this, ready to go through even great criticism, but bring lasting peace to the Armenian people.”
