Within the framework of the working visit to Brussels, in the format of the Armenia-Belgium friendship group, we had a meeting with the delegation headed by Kaspar Karampetian, the Chairman of the ARF Armenian Cause Office of Europe.
During the meeting, I presented the challenges facing our two Republics, Armenia and Artsakh.
Speaking about the humanitarian problems caused by Azerbaijan’s blockade of Artsakh for half a year, the ethnic cleansing and genocidal policy conducted by Azerbaijan, I raised the issue of the need to realize the right to self-determination of the people of Artsakh, and emphasized that the international community should promote the recognition of the right to self-determination of the people of Artsakh, following the example of Kosovo.
I have presented to my colleagues the encroachments of Azerbaijan on the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia, the victims and wounded caused by the Armenian side as a result, as well as the cases of targeting civilian objects and emergency vehicles. I have asked, if possible, to contribute to the efforts to create a buffer zone outside the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia, based on security considerations.

At the end of the meeting, I expressed special thanks to Mr. Gaspar Karapetyan and his team for their extensive pro-Armenian work. “You, living in Belgium, carry out much more patriotic work than some RA figures in Armenia,” I mentioned in my speech.
