The deputy of the NA Civil Contract Faction Alkhas Ghazaryan inquired about the situation on the border during the NA-Government Q&A session mentioning that the border ceasefire violations by Azerbaijan have intensified recently. It was noted that 2 foreigners have been injured today.
According to the MP, disinformation spread by Azerbaijan has also increased, as if the Armenian side opened fire in the direction of their positions.
The Minister of Defense Suren Papikyan clarified that by spreading disinformation, Azerbaijan is creating a base so that its provocations can be presented as pre-attack actions of the Armenian side.
“The reason for all this is the objectives of the Azerbaijani side to demonstrate that the Armenian side has an intention of certain aggressive actions,” he said, underscoring that Armenia does not have such an objective.
