Azerbaijan is preparing new attacks on Armenia and is using false accusations to create an information base for its new provocations, Ambassador-at-large Edmon Marukyan warned on Saturday.
“During the entire month of June, the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan issued 19 statements, allegedly about shootings by the armed forces of Armenia. All the statements of the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan were lies and pursued one goal: to prepare an information base for daily aggressions and attacks on the sovereign territory of Armenia.
After June 10, this behavior and statements intensified, which means that Azerbaijan is preparing new provocations. Naturally, this behavior of Azerbaijan does not contribute to the ongoing peace negotiations and should be monitored by the international community in order to curb Azerbaijan’s expansionist ambitions,” Marukyan tweeted.
