“It means that Nikol Pashinyan, the Secretary of the Security Council, and the rest of those who think so are not Armenian people and do not express the opinion of the Armenian people. They have no mandate, no legitimate right to make such treacherous statements on behalf of the Armenian people. Raising it at various embassies today is also a testament to that, to push the international community to real action.
The Russian Federation, which is also a signatory of the document of November 9 and has obligations, its peacekeeping presence is, unfortunately, the only security guarantee today; the presence of Russian peacekeeping troops in Artsakh in the coming years is a vital necessity to confront the threat of genocide.
Still, when Azerbaijan has become so brazen that it also carries out its hostile actions against Russian peacekeepers, Russia should resort to much more drastic actions to lift today’s deaf blockade, to lift the blockade of Artsakh. That is what the initiative at the Russian Embassy is for.”
