“One more time, it is necessary to remind the Co-Chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group, to oblige them, that the Minsk Group has an obligation to stand up for the resolution of the issue of the status of Artsakh, especially at the primary level, the principle of the right of nations to self-determination, but unfortunately, the issue of the existence of Artsakh Armenians have become paramount today. It is long past time for the international community to demand from Azerbaijan to put an end to their nation-destroying, genocidal action,” said Armenuhi Kyureghyan, deputy of the Armenia faction, during a sit-in in front of the Russian embassy in Armenia.
The MP is convinced that the international community is harming its reputation with a passive stance. “Russia has a peacekeeping mission in Artsakh itself. Where is the activity of the peacekeeping mission if we have such problems in Artsakh today?”
According to the deputy, the Co-Chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group have enough tools to solve the issue of the status of Artsakh, and it is time to use those tools. Kyureghyan responded to the observation that France was interested in solving the Artsakh issue before, but now they are not taking steps either.
