“To allow the Armenian Genocide to be carried out again today is unacceptable. Today, they apply double standards for their political interests, but these interests cannot be prioritized over human lives. I am sure conscious people and political circles in the USA will react. It’s a matter of lives here, not a matter of territory; it’s a matter of the homeland. People who have lived on their land for thousands of years, no one has the right to remove them from there,” declared ARF Supreme Body member Igor Sargsyan during a sit-in near the US Embassy.
Aghvan Vardanyan, deputy of the “Hayastan” faction, said. “The reaction of international structures, so-called democratic states to the events surrounding Armenia and Artsakh is not new for us.” It was the same during the 44-day war of 2020. If those states and international structures did not respond to Azerbaijan’s aggression, why should they react to this situation in Artsakh today? They have their geopolitical interests and other interests in the region, but I’m sure they will answer this in the end.
Because of the values they supposedly profess and are trying to spread in the world, today, 120 thousand Artsakh residents, including children, are completely surrounded, and this should be brought to the attention of those so-called democratic institutions and states. In the end, they, too, must answer for these crimes, at least before their people. People in Armenia are not asleep; they are trying to attract attention.”
