The deputy of the RA NA Civil Contract Faction, representative of the Yazidi community in parliament Rustam Bakoyan initiated a working debate on the draft law envisaging amendments and addenda to the law on Citizenship of the Republic of Armenia.

Issues on national minorities were debated, the deputy informed that he received hundreds of letters, where the voiced problems are possible to solve, Making Amendments and Addenda to the law on Citizenship of the Republic of Armenia.

The second part of the working debate went on behind closed doors by Rustam Bakoyan’s proposal.

The debate took place on July 3. The Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs Vladimir Vardanyan, the Deputy Minister of Justice Armenuhi Harutyunyan, representatives of the Government, the Office of the Human Rights Defender, as well as the relevant sub-divisions of the National Security Service and the Ministry of Internal Affairs took part in the debate.
