We discussed the critical situation in Artsakh with international students of the Geneva Academy of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights.

We discussed the consequences of the wars initiated by Azerbaijan against Armenia and Artsakh, the illegal Azerbaijani invasions, the blockade of the Artsakh-Armenian road of life and the isolation of the people of Artsakh from the outside world.

Artsakh has been under complete blockade for 211 days already. 120,000 Armenians literally every day are fighting for their lives. The humanitarian calamity that began on December 12 last year has already turned into a total blockade and psychological terror against the civilian population for several months.

There are no basic means of subsistence in Artsakh: food, hygiene items, medicines, fuel. There are serious problems with electricity and drinking water.

Laboratories are deprived of the opportunity to conduct research, and medical personnel to operate, and all this is accompanied by regular shootings and threats. This anti-human situation is directed only to one, to force the population to leave their homes, their Homeland, which is not a violation of human rights, but destruction.

I also presented to students from a number of countries in Europe the Azerbaijani criminal acts against the border’s residential communities, in particular, the fact that the residents are unable to use their pastures, grasslands and arable lands, earn family income, etc. Moreover, the similarity of the nature of the violations in Armenia (Syunik, Gegharkunik, Vayots Dzor) and Artsakh.

The presence of the Azerbaijani armed forces in itself poses a danger to the life and health of people, therefore, according to all international requirements, they must be withdrawn in order to restore the normal life of the civilian population.

During the discussion, evidence of Armenian prisoners illegally held in Azerbaijan, the destruction of peaceful communities, the torture of military personnel, the dismemberment of bodies, and the execution of captured Armenian military personnel was presented.

Currently, the publication of these issues and the international dissemination of evidence are of fundamental importance in the fight against Azerbaijani lies and the policy of genocide.
