“By saying Artsakh, billions have been looted, who will evaluate it? They said Artsakh is ours, and one driver became the owner of 20 million dollars.” Khachatur Sukiasyan

The former Foreign Minister of Armenia, Vardan Oskanian, offered Pashinyan to remain silent for three months and give him the authority to negotiate, promising that the situation would change. In this regard, Khachatur Sukiasyan, deputy of the Civil Contract faction, responded in a conversation with journalists.

“Vardan Oskanian was, first of all, the person who once advised that Karabakh can withdraw from being a negotiating party; the first thing to understand is that this was done, after what degree of damage did Karabakh suffer and the people of Karabakh, let’s understand who and what,” he said. First of all, now everything is democratic and transparent, and people do not forget who made what mistakes during the activity. If such a person has not been in Armenia for ten years, in unknown places… our bodies must first understand where he was, what he has been doing, who he has been in the last ten years, and how did it happen that he suddenly says. He was the Foreign Minister for ten years; how did he not solve the problem? Now he is coming to solve it in 3 months? His activities for the last 30 years should be seriously examined: who is that person, where did he come from, in which countries he lived?” We conveyed the opposition’s counter-argument: in the past, no matter how lousy diplomacy was, Artsakh was kept, Sukiasyan replied.

“All educated people can make that comparison and have the opportunity to use open data, and what kind of quagmire Armenia has been in; we need to take a complete look at emigration from Armenia, where Armenia has been on the list with various achievements. Using the name of Artsakh, saying Artsakh, Artsakh, looting of billions, wrong politics, mismanagement, who will evaluate it? I mean, when they said Artsakh is ours, and one driver became the owner of 15 million dollars or 20 million dollars. I need to understand: that driver, who was starting to earn 20 million dollars, that man’s boss, that he was from Artsakh, was he aware that those 20 million were going from the army, from our soldiers, from our health care, from our education?” We asked, do you say that they were looting? The Civil Contract has been in force for five years. How much is it possible to say, loot-loot, he answered: “How much money went to the state budget of Armenia? Why do you say that? When it comes to economic damage by legislation, that right exists. We see that people who have become rich illegally have paid quite a lot of money to the state budget of the Republic of Armenia.”
