“Whether it’s a burglar or not, taking property shouldn’t be easy. There must be a great process; otherwise, it will always be very tempting to many. The world has developed differently; property rights must be protected, not taken away with a button. It used to be a button.
With one button, any person can be deprived at any time; it is terrible,” said Khachatur Sukiasyan, deputy of the “Civil Contract” faction. Aravot.am noted; the members of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation say that the looting has been going on since the time of Levon Ter-Petrosyan when the oligarchs of that time divided the factories among themselves, and those same oligarchs are under the roof of the current government, Sukiasyan responded.
“Everybody in Armenia went to primary school, didn’t they, until the third grade? Let’s take 5,000 factories in Armenia at that time for privatization. Ask me how many of those 5,000 were taken by the oligarchs of that time?”
The journalists listed the buildings belonging to the Sukiasyan family: the building of the “Rossia” cinema-house “Sil Plaza,” etc. he replied that the “Rossia” cinema-house he took during the time of Andranik Margaryan, and there are cases in the prosecutor’s office regarding the “Sil Plaza” building.

“Go and study the cost of that building in those years; there are photos. He said they have charity companies, and they pave streets in villages and build a school during the year. We found out, if you make a general assessment, isn’t it true that you came under the roof of these authorities, as you mentioned, to preserve the property, Sukiasyan responded.
“You speak very offensively; what does a roof mean? First, this government is not a roof; it is more of a problem than a roof for people like us. What does roof mean, and what was my joining? I, as a citizen, as Khachatur Sukiasyan, was I also a roof for some party? It’s cooperation, isn’t it?”
