“Azerbaijani authorities have prepared a plan to fully integrate the Republic of Artsakh and its people into Azerbaijan, which is essentially a road map,” Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary David Shahnazaryan said in a conversation with Aravot.am.
According to our interlocutor, that program roadmap envisages four stages of the integration factor.
- Replacement of documents, including, first of all, passports with Azerbaijani passports,
- Investment of Azerbaijani manat in Nagorno-Karabakh,
- Complete disarmament and disbandment of the Armed Forces of Artsakh.
- Complete transfer of power to the Azerbaijani government.
David Shahnazaryan did not want to present other details of the project. He also announced that a period of 12 months is planned for the implementation of that plan-road map. Three months for each phase.
David Shahnazaryan answered the question: Are the Armenian authorities aware of this program? “According to my information, the authorities of Azerbaijan have transferred this program to the authorities of Armenia. I am also aware that the RA authorities should transfer this document to the authorities of the Artsakh Republic. I hope the RA authorities will announce that they have not received such a document and have no information about it.”
