Today Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Tigran Khachatryan received Paolo Spantigati, country director for Armenia of the Asian Development Bank, on the occasion of the end of his term of office, and Donald Lambert, who replaced him in that position.
Thanking Mr. Spantigati for his active and effective work in Armenia, Tigran Khachatryan referred to the important achievements registered within the framework of cooperation with ADB.
Congratulating Donald Lambert on his appointment, the Deputy Prime Minister expressed confidence in the continuation of the effective cooperation with ADB.
The newly appointed ADB country director, thanking the Deputy Prime Minister for his warm welcome, reaffirmed ADB’s commitment to strengthening cooperation in line with the priorities of bilateral cooperation.

During the meeting, the sided exchanged ideas regarding the implementation of the North-South Road Corridor investment project, as well as issues aimed at sustainable urban development and improving the seismic safety of schools.
The interlocutors also specifically referred to the need for the development of irrigation infrastructure and effective management of water resources, emphasizing the importance of expanding cooperation in this direction.
