Sending money between Revolut customers is secure, quick and involves no fees*, making Revolut one of the first companies to make it possible to send and receive money instantly in 42 countries across four continents. Within the first three months of 2023, Revolut customers made around 85 million peer-to-peer transactions to send money to friends & family through the app, saving millions of GBP/EUR/etc in fees they would have spent should they have chosen traditional transfer methods.

Besides sending money through the fee-free peer-to-peer feature, customers will also be able to use Revolut’s global money transfer infrastructure, to send and receive money to and from non-Revolut bank accounts and cards at a transfer fee of 1% and 3% respectively, subject to a minimum fee of USD 1. Any transfer fee will be displayed in the app before a customer taps the button and a competitive exchange rate is offered for international transfers. On occasion of the launch, the 1% and 3% fee on Lite App transfers to non-Revolut bank accounts and cards will be waived off till 30th August, 2023 and customers will be able to experience a free welcome into Revolut Lite.

Perfect for expats and international students, Revolut will enable customers in new Lite countries to make competitive and secure international transfers in 25+ currencies, more quickly and easily than traditional finance companies. People living in the six countries where Revolut Lite is available can download the app and sign-up to access the streamlined version. Money can be sent across the globe in a flash, with the majority of transfers happening within one working day.

Vlad Yatsenko, Chief Technology Officer, commented: “We’re delighted to launch the Revolut app in additional three countries, as we continue to expand access to Revolut’s fast, secure, and easy money transfers around the world. Revolut is redefining how to send and receive money by simplifying the process of international transfers, offering competitive fees and always providing competitive exchange rate.”

“Traditional transfers can sting customers with hidden fees, but we’re waiving all our transfer fees if you’re both on Revolut – no matter where you are. Additionally, we’re always offering a competitive exchange rate – something we’re extremely proud of.”

With the aim of launching in more countries over 2023, and additional features to be added soon, Revolut superapp wants to help people get more from their money.
