On July 28, 19 representatives of the Diplomatic Corps accredited in Armenia visited the Kornidzor settlement of the Syunik region, where the trucks carrying humanitarian aid to Artsakh have been standing for three days. Syunik Region Governor Robert Ghukasyan welcomed diplomats and representatives of international organizations in Goris.
A little above the Hakari Bridge, where the trucks are parked, the Governor presented the situation to the guests; in particular, he mentioned that the humanitarian aid is for the besieged Artsakh people, and there has been no movement over the Hakari bridge for some time.
The guests observed the Hakari Bridge from above and talked with truck drivers. In a briefing with journalists, Vahan Kostanyan, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, stated that this mission aimed to influence Azerbaijan to unblock the road. Kostanyan expressed hope that they are doing everything so that the trucks reach Artsakh an hour earlier, but at the moment, there still needs to be clarity on when cargo transportation will be allowed. The Deputy Minister also added that the trucks will remain parked here until the response of the Russian peacekeeping troops.
