“Our people of Artsakh should not feel alone.” Archbishop Pargev is participating in the demonstration for the sake of Artsakh in the USA

August 09,2023 15:51

Artur Sahakyan, a journalist living in the USA, published videos of how our compatriots in the United States are holding protests, marches, and sit-ins in defense of Artsakh. In particular, such a demonstration occurred in Brabank before Congressman Adam Schiff’s office. Our compatriots presented their demands to him.

“It is necessary to make the politicians here understand that they have given us promises over the years, for which we have elected them, and now it is time to fulfill those promises. Today it is such a dire situation that we don’t know if there will be Artsakh tomorrow,” said one of the protesters.

One of the demands is that by September 15, Adam Schiff should go to Armenia, then Artsakh, and publicly inform about Artsakh’s right to self-determination.

Reverend Pargev also participates in the protests. “I believe in one thing: the one who fights succeeds… If we don’t fight for the rights and independence of the people of Artsakh, we won’t achieve anything. Genocide is being committed today, and we must fight,” he said. According to the Archbishop, it would be good if all Armenians in different corners of the world would hold demonstrations and knock on doors. “Our people of Artsakh should not feel alone,” said the reverend.
