On the initiative of several French cities and regions, another one joined the 21 trucks standing in Kornidzor. Vardan Sargsyan, the representative of the humanitarian crisis management working group in Nagorno-Karabakh, mentioned this in a conversation with journalists.
“More than 20 tons of humanitarian cargo, including food and pasta, was sent from several regions of France. It is welcome that not only the private companies in Armenia but also the mentioned cities and regions of friendly France respond and join this humanitarian initiative of Armenia. It once again proves that the escalating humanitarian crisis in Nagorno-Karabakh is getting an even wider international resonance and that urgent steps are needed to open the illegally closed Lachin Corridor and provide humanitarian access to Nagorno-Karabakh, Vardan Sargsyan mentioned.
Let us remind you that it is already the 15th day that the trucks with humanitarian cargo are standing in Kornidzor and waiting for permission for humanitarian aid to reach Artsakh.
Vardan Sargsyan answered that the discussions are still ongoing regarding whether there is any guarantee that the goods will reach Artsakh. “Unfortunately, at this moment, I can say that there is no news or response in this regard,” Vardan Sargsyan concluded his speech.
