“What do you want? Do you want to sacrifice the sovereignty of Armenia?” To whom do you want to sacrifice? Do you want to sacrifice the State of Armenia? To whom do you want to sacrifice? You can’t; it’s out of the question.” This is how Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan responded to the complaints from Artsakh at the press conference. Analyst Arman Abovyan, the guest of Aravot “Confrontation” program, said in this regard that it is always difficult to interpret “political science absurdity.” “By giving Artsakh, you sacrifice Armenia. You don’t need to be a political or international scientist to understand this. You need to read at least a few books and draw conclusions based on them. I do not give names because I do not believe that the Head of power and the government are so ignorant that they do not understand what they are discussing. No, there is no ignorant or stupid person in power.” “There are traitors,” notes the other guest of the program, political analyst Aghasi Yenokyan.
Arman Abovyan continued, referring to the question, “Do you want to make the State of Armenia a sacrifice?” “You took us; laid us down on the sacrificial table, made the Turks come- brought the performer upon our heads. This is equivalent to cutting off a person’s hands and feet with an ax and then turning around and telling his relatives, do you want this poor person to become disabled? Why are you taking him to the hospital?’
Aghasi Enokyan rewrote Nikol Pashinyan’s message at that press conference: “Number one, yes, we give up Artsakh. Number two, by giving up Artsakh, we have no guarantee that Armenia’s security is secured. In that case, why are you refusing?’ “Absurd, absurd,” Arman Abovyan exclaimed.
Agհasi Enokyan continued: “Armenia’s sovereignty has already been sacrificed. The army was sacrificed. Diplomacy has been sacrificed. For the sake of sovereignty, one of the most important elements for Nikol is his power. In other words, he already did it to keep the power. What else is he talking about? Who wants to make a sacrifice? He did it himself.”

During the program, reference was also made to the statement made by the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, in an interview with Euronews. “The people who live in Karabakh, in the territory now temporarily controlled by Russian peacekeepers, are in Azerbaijan. They have to choose to stay here to live as our citizens and a national minority or leave.”
In this regard, Arman Abovyan mentioned the demand of the Nazis in 1939 that the Jews should either live by the “laws of the new Germany” or be expelled. “Aliyev says the same thing: Armenians, either you must leave, or we will kill you.” And he added that what Aliyev is saying today about the people of Artsakh will be told about the people of Armenia in a different context. “I am addressing the citizens of RA, dear people; handing over Karabakh does not close the issue. It only begins, and it begins in the yard of all of your houses and mine. The irony is that Turkey and Azerbaijan don’t even hide it, and they don’t just talk about it; they prepare for it.”
Nikol Pashinyan’s response to Ilham Aliyev’s interview, which he gave at the government session, was as follows: “After the statement made by the President of Azerbaijan in an interview with Euronews that the Lachin Corridor is not blocked, it is necessary to listen to the explanation of the peacekeeping troops of the Russian Federation in Nagorno-Karabakh: why do they not ensure the humanitarian aid of the Republic of Armenia’s government entering Nagorno-Karabakh if Azerbaijan claims that it has not blocked the Lachin Corridor? Aghasi Enokyan does not consider this response adequate. “If the peacekeeping troops are standing, then you should use all diplomatic, military, and political tools so that those peacekeepers work in your favor as much as possible.
