On August 28, an application was submitted to the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) regarding the protection of the rights of three civilians abducted from the Lachin Corridor with the request to apply an interim measure against Azerbaijan. This was reported by the representative of the Republic of Armenia for International Legal Matters.
Three young Armenians were abducted within one day from the Azerbaijani illegal checkpoint in Lachin. Alen Sargsyan was kidnapped first, literally hours later two more young men were kidnapped. All three of them are students and were coming to Yerevan to continue their studies.
Nagorno-Karabakh InfoCenter described this as a continuation of the genocidal policy, once again Baku violates the norms of international humanitarian law. The young people were going to Armenia accompanied by Russian peacekeepers.
