In a briefing with journalists on September 2, when the authorities announced that Ruben Vardanyan is one of the people who forced the resignation of Artsakh President Arayik Harutyunyan, to what extent this claim of theirs corresponds to reality, the Leader of the “Country to Live” Party Mane Tandilyan answered.
“I can remember many cases in which Araik Harutyunyan regularly expressed his desire to resign on different occasions. Today, we are obliged not to be shocked by the situation. There is a resignation; there is a Constitution that provides solutions in that situation. Should discuss with people in passing and resolve the situation without unnecessary tension. We could see a leadership problem, which was no secret to anyone. Changing the Constitution regularly in an unstable atmosphere, taking it to the National Assembly, recalling it, retaking it, recalling it, that leadership gap is visible to everyone.
And I hope that the prudent people of Artsakh, the people living there, who feel what is happening to their skin, I am sure, will have prudence, will legally solve the problem calmly, without unnecessary tension. We should not add additional fuel to the situation there.”
She said that the problem lies in the leadership of the struggle, not the individuals, but it is evident that Artsakh needs unity. “People who have held a position, held a certain position, should discuss and implement the demand of the people of Artsakh.”
