The appointment of Commissioners for Diaspora Affairs in foreign countries has begun. By the decision of RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, the Director of the Polish-Armenian Foundation Diana Hovakimyan has been appointed as the Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs in Poland, serving as an advisor on a volunteer basis.

During a working visit to Poland, RA High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs Zareh Sinanyan congratulated Hovakimyan on her appointment to the position. “We believe in the establishment of this institution and the creation of a network of Commissioners for Diaspora Affairs. This will provide new opportunities for advancing Armenia-Diaspora collaboration by establishing more direct and productive ties with various communities. I am well aware of your active work in the community and I hope that it will continue and broaden. You are now the connecting link between the Polish-Armenian community and Armenia”, said Zareh Sinanyan, noting that he places great importance on the appointment of representative and widely respected community leaders.

Expressing gratitude for being entrusted with the responsibility, the newly appointed Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs in Poland spoke about her work and future plans, which will be aimed at strengthening ties between the community and the homeland, organizing meetings and events, addressing important issues, expanding relations with the Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs, and more.
