Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Canada to Armenia Alison Mary LeClair (residence: Moscow), who is completing her diplomatic mission in our country.
The Prime Minister thanked the Ambassador for contributing to the development of Armenian-Canadian relations with her vigorous activities. In particular, Nikol Pashinyan highly appreciated Canada’s support in the effective implementation of democratic reforms in our country.
The Prime Minister highlighted the decision of the Canadian government to open an embassy in Armenia and expressed confidence that it will give a new impetus to the expansion and strengthening of relations between the two countries.
Alison Mary LeClair, in turn, thanked the Prime Minister and the Armenian government for close cooperation, informing that the embassy in Yerevan will be opened during the visit of Canadian Foreign Minister Melanie Joly to Armenia, scheduled for October.
