“Unfortunately, a clear trend of deterioration of the information background around Russia is visible in Armenia,” said Andrey Nastasin, Deputy Head of the Press and Information Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry (pictured), during the Armenian-Russian media forum held in Yerevan.
He says we see more critical references aimed at Armenian-Russian relations, which do not correspond to reality, than publications based on facts.
In his opinion, reputable mass media can play a clear role in correcting this situation. “We have reached a situation where Russia is being blamed for all the difficulties of the Armenian people, forgetting the history. It is clear why this is done because experts from foreign organizations have infiltrated the country, which are financed to do this work and which have nothing to do with Armenia but work against Armenia-Russia relations. When these forces no longer need Armenia’s platform to use against Russia, they will forget where your country is. You need to understand this, see who your friends are, and not fall into the trap of those who want to use you.”
