In a conversation with journalists in the National Assembly, Seyran Ohanyan, the leader of the “Armenia” faction, expressed the opinion that the vehicle entering Artsakh through Akna will make it possible to reduce the impact of the humanitarian crisis in Artsakh, especially since the movement of this vehicle will make it possible, according to the agreement, to open the Lachin corridor.
“The new Lachin road that was built is not a corridor; what do the Armenian authorities think about it because the corridor implies infrastructures: gas pipeline, electricity cables, communication. However, that way must be opened, and everything must be done on international platforms to force this corridor to be opened.
When the Russian vehicle has passed through Akna, this issue can be put before the Russian authorities so that they can take concrete, practical steps to force Azerbaijan to open the corridor. We must record that the Armenian authorities have washed their hands of Artsakh; Artsakh must become an independent, free factor to dictate its interests to Azerbaijan in international relations.”
Seyran Ohanyan noted that when the leadership and the people of Artsakh live the same life, it will create a fertile ground for the spirit of struggle to be higher. “Artsakh has always been a factor; it has determined itself as a republic, and it has been an example for the region’s states in many issues, with its organization, dedication, and integrated security system with Armenia.

No matter how much we say that Artsakh did not participate in the negotiations, there was no visit to the region by the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairmanship that did not visit Artsakh or have meetings here. Artsakh should continue to be a factor. When the authorities of Armenia have washed their hands, the leadership of Artsakh, the people of Artsakh should definitely put their fist on the table and advance their interests.”
