“Since the number of violations compared to the number of considered localities is, in fact, particular, the violations were not massive. We cannot give an unequivocal assessment at the moment, and we still have to summarize the final results,” said Arthur Sakunts, the Head of the Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly-Vanadzor (which is a part of the “Independent Observer,”) at a press conference held at the “Media Center.”
He emphasized the number of people who participated in voting in individual precincts compared to those who participated in voting in Yerevan as a whole and what deviations there are that can be considered suspicious regarding voter behaviors. “I can tell you one thing as additional information. The mathematical analysis of the voting results by a specialist of our partner “Golos,” a well-known organization, shows an interesting pattern: in the precincts where the number of voting participants increases, the number of those voting in favor of the Civil Contract decreases.
We indeed recorded the cases of referral of voters, and by the way, during the summary of the interim results, I presented that 4 of the 9 cases of referral were associated with the Civil Contract, one case each of the Hanrapetutyun Party, the ” “Country to Live” party, the “Bright Armenia” party and “Mother Armenia,” alliance, so it seemed that in this picture, where the participation is high, CC should get more votes, but the mathematical analysis shows a different pattern.
